Girls G.O.T. Prescott was created as a business and social networking group for women entrepreneurs in the Prescott Quad City area.
Girls G.O.T. Prescott (Get Out There) is a double
play on words. First, it’s about establishing a set of professional
girlfriends that understand the power of business networking and word of
mouth marketing to 'get your name out there'. Second, since
entrepreneurs are notorious workaholics 24/7, we’re going to 'get out'
of the office and out of the typical network meeting setting so we can
get to know one another by enjoying some casual social gatherings. Fact
is, you’re much more likely to give and receive referrals when you know
someone on a much more personal level. Often times it’s those unplanned,
casual conversations that bring about the kind of candid depth that
just doesn’t happen at a highly-structured, well organized networking
meeting. This organic-free-style type of networking is more in line with
open feminine intuition. Whether it’s enjoying breakfast and an easy
hike, attending a concert together at Yavapai College, a “healthy” pot
luck and full-moon kayaking on Watson Lake, lunch & a movie, tapas
& music, tea & vitamin-D on the patio, or even taking a day trip
for a nice adventurous getaway.
On a business level -- you will be encouraged to
share what kind of goals you’re working on with your business and ask to
receive support by way of accountability, insight, referrals, etc. And
who knows, through your one-on-one interactions with other members you
may discover other ways that you can support one another
(cross-promotion, joint ventures…) Toss out the self-limiting thoughts,
patterns and behaviors and have an open mind.
On a social level -- let’s just have fun getting to
know one another. You’ll be encouraged to spend time with different
group members at each meetup so you have a chance to get to know each of
the members on a personal level.
